FELT LIKE THIS BOOK WAS MUCH BETTER WRITTEN EVEN like this book was much better written The Record Vol 8 even the story doesn t always flow as smoothly as it could with time lines sometimes being a bit confusing it still was a verynjoyable read I really felt as if Lizzie had matured uite a bit from the last book although she still sometimes reverts back to her rebellious ways once she realizes that her biggest problem is not listening to and submitting to God s will she starts getting control of her temper Without giving to much away I felt that there was one issue that was totally left hanging when she slaps a child at school I was sure that there would be repercussions from that it wasn t dealt with at all it was like once told her mom it was forgotten The author includes several fantabulous recipes in this book as well and also includes a glossary for the Amish words used in the book This book really shouldn t be read unless you have read the first in the series because I think a reader may feel lost with some of the things going on Even though this is a book is written for pre teens and teens I really A Dictionary Of The English And Dano Norwegian Languages Vol 1 enjoyed reading it and can t wait to read the next book in the series titled Big Decisions due out March 2011Even though I was provided a review copy by FSB media thanks Julie it in no way influenced my opinion of this boo. Ow he might fit into her life What will Lizzie decide Will she continue to teach school Or will she give up that dream so that her wish for marriage and a family can come true Stephen says he loves her but Lizzie isn't sure he really understands her Can she hope to find anyone within her Amish community who loves her bright mind herver active imagination her competitive spirit and her stormy humo.
Linda Byler  7 CharactersI have a somewhat morbid fascination with Amish romance a genre
and when I ran across the book in this series Iwhen I ran across the first book in this series I intrigued by the fact that the author is actually Amish a rarity in this oversaturated category I was not at all impressed with the book on a technical level but it was nevertheless interesting to see a depiction of Amish life from an insider s perspectiveThe second book in the series is much the same as the first The writing really isn t very good the dialogue is stilted and unnatural and the narration is uneven and sometimes almost juvenile There s a little bit attention paid to plot here some
"USE OF FORESHADOWING A BIT JUDICIOUS "of foreshadowing a bit judicious of flashbacks but it still reads in many places like a list of things that happened rather than a cohesive narrative And Lizzie as a character is still much annoying than I ll usually tolerate Her rebellious moods come off as unpredictable and unreasonable which are not sympathetic ualities in a narrator Then again if I were staring down the barrel of a lifetime of dudes bossing me around I d probably be a little cranky tooSo why did I read it Well again it s an insider s look at Amish life which I still find absolutely fascinating It s a fast non challenging low stakes read which is nice when I m stressed And honestly despite her annoying tendencies I m curious to see what will become of Lizzie in the Reports Of The Princeton University Expeditions To Patagonia Vol 2 end So yes I ll probably pick up the third bookventually too Okay I may not have been reading about that Lizziebut I sure felt like I wasThe main character in this book was very Catalogue Of The Coins In The Indian Museum Calcutta Vol 1 emotional and ove. This Book A Good Read But Ibook a good read but I the typos distractingI like the fact that Linda Byler is Amish and can use her insider knowledge to write authentic Amish stories I have given up on Amish romance novels written by anyone who didn t grow up Amish It is impossible to get it right unless someone has lived the life When Strawberries Bloom is the right unless someone has lived the life When Strawberries Bloom is the book in the Lizzie Searches for Love series by Linda Byler In this book our main character Lizzie seems a bit mature we don t hear nearly as much about the things that she hates Instead she is seventeen and really wants to become the next schoolteacher at the Mennonite school where she had been a student and her siblings still attend She knows that she would be a great teacher but she isn t sure what the school board will think could they possibly give her a chance to prove herselfLizzie has always been a worrier and now her dad s health is in uestion he has been having some issues with his yesight and and his health in general is failing some She becomes worried about what will happen if he can no longer run the farm her younger brother Jason has been taking on of the responsibilities of the farm but with him not being uite 16 there is no way that he can do it alone If the health issues with her dad are as serious as she thinks will they be able to arn a living from.
